Will 8600gt wear out faster if I keep computer on 24 hrs?
I have a EVGA 256-P2-N758-TR GeForce 8600GT SSC 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 video card. This is factory overclocked at 684MHz. It´s running steady at 57 degrees C. I´m not sure if that´s too hot or not, but I don´t think so based on other posts I´ve read. My dual core processor runs at 30 degrees C.
I´ve had to change motherboards, and since I have decided to just leave my computer on 24 hours a day with the exception of putting it into "stand by" mode. Will leaving my computer on wear out the video card at all? I know computers are meant to be left on these days, but I wasn´t sure how that related to video cards.
Eventually fans on video cards will stop working, and I worry that leaving it on all the time will cause the fan to wear down early and then the card will overheat and not work anymore.
