so, after the "irresponsible people are the ones that choose to not vax their babes" lectures from our pediatrician, DH & i decided to find a new doc. surprisingly, it happens to be a family practice doc. thanks to the mama´s here for opening my eyes to that possibility. i wonder why we assume our kids MUST see a pedi? anyways, i asked him his stance on vaxes & his response was wonderful! he said he is neither a judge nor jury & would never judge a parent for trying to act in what they believe is the best interest of their child. he even specifically said in general he doesnt recommend MMR & Varicella until child is older if the parents really want them done anyway as there is too much conflicting info out there for him to feel comfortable injecting his infant patients with! ladies, can i tell you i almost fell off the table? in the area we live it is very hard to find medical personell like this. we are unbelieveably thrilled! just wanted to put a good word out there & say thanks to "helping me look outside the box".
