Venting--comment about vaxing over politics
On another site, someone was talking about how she gave her kids Hep A because it´s been around for many years without any problems. I showed her the information from VAERS, the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, and the manufacturer about the ingredients and side effects. I doubt she´ll care...but she also said this "And since Kennedy backs autism linked to vaccines that makes me even more for vaccines..I really can´t stand him and his far left liberalism." Please tell me I´m not the only one who thinks that´s nuts, to be even more pro-vax because a certain man is anti-vax. Why would you expose your children to vaccines, perform medical prcoedures on them, for politics--to spite a stranger? Isn´t that like using your kids as pawns? Who decides to do something to their kids to rebel against a political figure? I can´t believe someone would have that as even part of the reason for exposing their kids to something that may cause autism. Because you don´t like someone who believes that, you´re going to decide not to believe it? And not only that you´re gonna encourage others to do it to their kids to? I really don´t mean to judge parenting choices here. Vax, or don´t--but do the research, and make your choice based on what you feel the risks are... politics and dislike of a Kennedy should have absolutely nothing to do with injected your children with formaldehyde and antifreeze. :/ Sorry, I just had to vent about that. I´ve heard ignorant things before, but that just takes the cake. I´m sure she has other reasons for vaxing, but that she´d even say that, even as a joke if that´s what it was, grosses me out.
