Really good visit with a Pedi today
We had a really good visit with a new Pedi today! I am actually really happy with how it went. First off a little background. My DS suffers from "episodes". They look like seizures, but they aren´t seizures. Epilepsy monitoring on an EEG has proven that. And the Telemetry monitoring shows that he goes into cardiac arrest for up to 30 seconds during them. We´ve been through all the specialists and they have finally diagnosed it as a "behavioral problem"
He started having these when he was 2 months old. They started about two weeks after his first round of vaxes and after he had the DTaP scream and ran a high fever for several days. Well I WAS an idiot sheeple and he has been fully vaxed up to his 18 month vaxes minus the last Hep A. 
Well I finally have made the connection that these might have something to do with the vaxes because they always seemed to get worse around each round. He is also chronically neutropenic.
I decided NOT to vax DD at all and not to give my DS any more after I started reading around here. DD went with DH and DS to the pedi when DS was sick and the pedi bullied DH into giving her the DTaP and HIB. (Thank Heavens it wasn´t the whole round) She had the DTaP scream and ran a 103 fever and was sick for 3 days. (I have pictures of the way she looked. PM me if anybody wants to see them )
So our former Pedi is very pro-vax. He has certificates framed in his lobby proclaiming his 100% vaccination record every month. 
We decided not to go back to him.
I feel like we need a Pedi though because of DS´s medical issues. I have interviewed two in the last few weeks and didn´t like either. We went to see this one today.
I really liked her. We talked about everything and while she didn´t exactly admit that Calen´s issues could be from the vaxes she said "I can understand why you would be really nervous about them." She also agreed that Calen did not need to receive any further vaccines. Then we talked about DD. She said it was up to me whether she received any further vaccinations but that if we did do any she would recommend no further DTaP whatsoever. When I told her I didn´t want to do any for DD she just said that it was fine and left it at that.
I think it went really well! YAY!
