After server move, can´t turn forum back on
This is very strange. I shut the forum down to make backups and waited for my new host to bring my whole package over from my old host. Once I was able to login and see that everything went well, I did the DNS changes. Then I turned the old forum back on with the database pointing to the new location. This allows my members to continue using the forum while the new settings propagate. I planted a little graphic on the new forum´s home page so I would know when I had access. When it appeared, I surfed around the forum to make sure everything was okay. Well, I quickly discovered the new forum was turned off - at least that´s what the little banner said at the top of the page. I went into the admin CP to turn it on, but saw that it said it WAS on. So, I turned it off, refreshed and then turned it back on again. That didn´t do it. I tried uploading the tools.php file to the admin directory and tuning the forum on there, but it also said the forum was already on. I "turned it off", then back on again, but still no joy. I put in a support ticket, but has anyone ever run into this problem before? I did a search on the forum, but didn´t find anything. Not a good way to start the weekend. Jim PS: sayyyy, I wonder if there is a database query that would force the forum to turn on?
